SpinTaxi Issues Statement on Anti-Semitic Comment Posted on Website
Wichita Falls, TX — May 5, 2025
SpinTaxi.com has issued a formal statement regarding a disturbing anti-Semitic comment posted under an article this past weekend. The comment, which included the phrase “f—k the Jews,” was immediately flagged by staff and removed. After a preliminary review, SpinTaxi confirmed the comment was made by an individual not affiliated with the organization and posted from an IP address based in New York City.

“This didn’t come from our newsroom, our writers, or our community,” said Alan Nafzger, the founding editor of SpinTaxi. “The post came from someone outside Texas—someone with no ties to our staff or readership. It was left in the open comment section, which we monitor daily. But clearly, this one slipped through for a short time, and for that, we take responsibility.”
A Texas Response
Nafzger, who described himself as “deeply disturbed” by the message, took immediate steps once the origin of the comment was verified. Instead of pursuing public shaming or doxxing the individual responsible, he opted for a different path.
“We know who he is. But we’re not in the business of ruining lives—especially when there's still a chance for education and transformation,” Nafzger said. “So we’re taking a page from Dave Portnoy’s playbook—but doing it Texas-style. We’re sending the commenter to Europe for a comprehensive Holocaust education tour. It’s not cheap. But it’s a worthwhile act of public service.”
The individual, whose identity is being withheld for legal and ethical reasons, will participate in a multi-nation educational program through one of the most respected Holocaust education companies in the world. The tour will include stops at Auschwitz, Treblinka, and other historic sites where crimes against humanity were committed during World War II.
Public Service Over Punishment
“We don’t believe in cancel culture,” Nafzger added. “But we do believe in consequences—and, more importantly, growth. I sincerely hope this person takes the trip seriously and learns something that changes the way they see the world.”
SpinTaxi has confirmed it will cover the full cost of the educational experience and is working with both European partners and Holocaust survivor advocacy groups to ensure the trip is informative, respectful, and transformative.
An Unfortunate Incident in a Free Society
The editorial staff reiterated that the comment section on SpinTaxi is open to encourage dialogue but also comes with challenges. “We trust our readers, but occasionally, bad actors misuse that freedom. We’re updating our moderation system and exploring options to better vet users and prevent similar incidents from happening again,” said Annika Steinmann, staff journalist for SpinTaxi.
The site also confirmed that while it had no legal obligation to act on an anonymous comment from an outsider, it felt a moral imperative to respond.
Not About Vengeance
“This isn’t about vengeance,” Nafzger said. “It’s about understanding. The man who posted this—he needs to know the weight of his words. Sending him to Europe isn’t punishment. It’s an investment in humanity.”
SpinTaxi is currently reviewing its comment policies and community standards, and expects to roll out updated moderation tools in the coming weeks.
